Apple has made no secret of the fact that it considers China to be one of its most important markets, the company has recently been paying attention to the needs of the Chinese consumer and has adapted the way it does business in the People’s Republic to improve its position in the market. It appears to have worked so far and now the company is taking a chance with software services, it has launched Apple Music in China for significantly less than what it’s asking back home for the subscription service.

Users in China can subscribe to Apple Music for 10 yuan or $1.50 per month, on the other hand a subscription to Apple Music costs $11.99 per month in the United States, to be fair though the difference in song library warrants this price difference. Chinese users won’t find all of the labels that have agreed to stream music over Apple Music in North America.

Nevertheless, Apple claims that Chinese users will get access to “millions” of songs in the Apple Music catalog, which is going to be personalized for users in the People’s Republic.

Apple Music isn’t the only software service that has been launched, Apple has also launched iTunes, iBooks and Movies for Chinese consumers.
