Android Gamers Can Soon Stream Live To YouTube Gaming

Last month Google launched YouTube Gaming which was basically their answer to Twitch. For the most part it functions the same way in which gamers can livestream their games for other games to watch. However at the time of launch, the livestreaming feature was limited to desktop users.

Now if you’re primarily a mobile gamer, or at least want the option to livestream your mobile games, you will soon be able to. During the Tokyo Game Show, YouTube revealed that soon Android gamers will be able to livestream their mobile gaming sessions directly to YouTube Gaming.

Interestingly enough this feature was announced in Japan, which apparently is rather apt due to Japan’s mobile game scene. According to YouTube’s global gaming head Ryan Wyatt, “Japan’s mobile games define its gaming culture, far more so than in other countries. This trend shows there’s a real need for gamers to easily share what’s on their screen with the gaming community, as it happens.”

Unfortunately no word on when this feature will be launched except that it was stated that it would be coming soon, but if you’d like to get in on the livestreaming business with your mobile games, then this is an update you’ll want to look forward to.
