Amazon has announced a bunch of new hardware today like it was expected to do, including but not limited to an all new Fire TV set-top box, and before you ask the company has not forgotten about the Fire TV Stick. Amazon claims that this is the company’s fastest selling device. The streaming media stick has been updated and it’s now more powerful than ever before and also comes with a voice remote.
The company claims that the Fire TV Stick is now the most powerful streaming media stick available in the market, and it also happens to be the only one that comes with a Voice Remote included.
Users can take advantage of the voice remote and simply speak the name of a movie, TV show, actor, genre, director etc and instantly get relevant results.
Like its sibling the Fire TV Stick also gets Alexa support, so the voice remote can also be used to ask Alexa information about the weather, traffic, sports scores and even for asking it to stream music.
The new Fire TV Stick has 4x the storage and 2x the memory of Chromecast, underneath the hood there’s a dual-core processor with 1GB RAM, Dolby Audio and what Amazon claims to be better Wi-Fi performance than any other similar product.
Amazon Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote is available for pre-order today, it costs $49.99 and will start shipping October 22nd.
