[IFA 2015] Acer wants to get things moving with its two gaming notebooks – which have been touted to be the most powerful from the Taiwanese company to date, where it will certainly live up to such a billing. After all, who are we to argue with the inclusion of the 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX980 graphics chipset that has up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, an enterprise level 512GB NVMe PCIe solid state drive, Killer DoubleShot Pro for speedy Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity? There is a whole lot more from where that came from, too.
To make sure that the Predator 15 and 17 gaming notebooks will run nice and cool even if you have cranked up the framerates, the special Predator FrostCore triple fan design will be able to dissipate heat and ensures that everything runs nice and quiet. There will also be the Acer PredatorSense gaming control panel which enables gamers to customize the keyboard’s lighting and control gaming features via programmable keys.
Your ears will be treated to Predator SoundPound, where it delivers a combination of stellar audio features such as up to a quartet of integrated speakers and a pair of subwoofers for 12 watts of crystal clear audio and rich bass. The difference between the two? Obviously pricing will be an issue here, with the Predator 15 notebook also featuring 15.6” Full HD or 4K (3840×2160) Ultra HD panels, while the Predator 17 notebook boasts of 17.3” Full HD displays.
Regardless, both of them will ship with Windows 10 right out of the box, with the Predator 15 and Predator 17 retailing for $1,499.99 and $1,599.99, respectively, when it arrives Stateside this November.
