Now for those who have been comparing Apple’s AX series of chipsets to those from Qualcomm, the typical argument is that Qualcomm’s chipsets offer up more cores, versus Apple’s own chipsets which for a while now has been a dual-core setup. However a new rumor has surfaced which suggests that the A10 might be of the 6-core variety.
There has been some rumor with regards to the A10 already. It was just last week that we heard that TSMC will be the one exclusively producing the chipset and that it might be built on the 16nm process. However today’s rumor is hinting that we might be looking at either a 14nm or even 10nm process which will be pretty impressive if true.
In any case we suppose it is too early to start talking about the new iPhones, especially with the current iPhones having yet to be released, but with rumors claiming the next-gen iPhone will be the thinnest one yet and now talks about a 6-core chipset, it sure sounds pretty exciting.
