3rd Generation Nest Thermostat Unveiled

It was not too long ago that we brought you whispers of how the Nest Thermostat could be experiencing a design refresh for its 3rd generation model, and here we are with word that the 3rd generation Nest Thermostat is now ready and kicking. This latest generation model will not be the massive upgrade that everyone is looking forward to as opposed to the previous generation, although you can be sure that they will pack in its fair share of improvements.

For instance, it will be shedding some weight – as in, being thinner, with a larger display to boot to deliver a more refined look which should suit the tastes of the bold and the beautiful. The new feature known as “Farsight” is also part of the mix, where it lights up the display whenever you walk into the room, hence allowing you to see it from afar. What you can see depends on the settings, where you can opt from either the temperature, digital clock face, or an analog clock.

There will also be additional temperature sensors as well which are also more accurate, not to mention accompanied by the ability to monitor furnace shutoff patterns so that it can detect anything that is out of the ordinary. The asking price for the 3rd generation Nest Thermostat would be $249 a pop.
