Last month there were rumors that Samsung has a 12-inch tablet in the works that runs on Windows. We were wondering when the tablet would be announced but unfortunately it seems that it decided to give IFA 2015 a miss. However thanks to new info, we could be inching closer towards seeing it.
According to a recent sighting on Zauba (via Windows Central), it would seem that the tablet has been more or less confirmed. For those unfamiliar, Zauba is an import/export database for India and in the past, we have seen many devices make its way in and out of the country that have resulted in product announcements, so there is a chance this could happen too.
The tablet also seems to have landed in India where it is planned for testing. It is unclear as to how long this testing would run for, but hopefully it won’t take too long. According to the rumors, the upcoming Samsung tablet appears to pack some impressive specs. For starters it will feature a 4K display.
Under the hood, an Intel Core M processor can be found, 8GB of RAM as one of the configurable options, and also S Pen stylus support. Samsung has in the past released 12-inch tablets in the past so this won’t be its first, although with Apple launching the iPad Pro, chances are there will be a lot of comparisons made between the devices.
