dropbox

Dropbox is making URL bookmarking much easier for its users, people who tend to use the cloud storage service often will no longer have to use another service for URL bookmarking since they can now easily drag and drop URLs into Dropbox. This feature works on the web as well as on the desktop, bookmarked URLs are synced across all devices so they’re readily available no matter if the user is online, on a desktop or on a mobile device.

Users can also easily add URLs to Dropbox using mobile apps, they simply need to use the share feature in Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android and through share contract in Internet Explorer on Windows Phone 8. The URL will be stored as a file alongside other files and will be instantly synced across all devices.

This feature will be particularly useful for students as it makes it very easy for them to organize and store URLs of academic sources during research alongside other relevant files, thus reading on the go or using the sources for future reference becomes very fast.

Dropbox’s new feature is live now and can be accessed by going to the online client or through the latest version of the iOS and Android app.
