Sony has been teasing its upcoming smartphone announcement for IFA 2015, and based on the teasers we’ve seen so far, they seem to largely deal with photography. That being said if you’re wondering what kind of specs we’re talking about in terms of camera, it seems that the camera’s specs might have recently been confirmed.
This is thanks to Xperia Blog who managed to get their hands on several alleged press renderings of the upcoming handset which you can see for yourselves in the images above and below. One of the images shows the camera of the handset and at the back it clearly states that this is a camera with a 23MP sensor.
There is another wording that we can’t make out but it could either show f/2.3 for its aperture or it could be indicating its 1/2.3-inch sensor size. Interestingly enough the 23MP camera doesn’t really line up with what we’ve heard so far, which is that the Xperia Z5 will come with a 21.5MP camera, so we’re not sure which rumor to believe right now.
In any case we suppose it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but Sony is expected to announce it all at IFA 2015 on the 2nd of September, a couple of days before the event officially kicks off, so do check back with us next week for the details.
