This includes the likes of GearBest and OppoMart, both of whom are taking pre-orders for the smartphone. However it seems that these retailers have jacked the price up a bit. When Xiaomi announced the phone, they said it would cost $125 for the 16GB model and $155 for the 32GB model.
However the retailers have priced the handset at $168.85-$179 for the 16GB model, and if you want the 32GB model you’ll have to pay $209. Granted this is still a lot more affordable especially when you consider that phones with similar specs will probably cost you about $100 more, so we suppose it really depends on how much you like Xiaomi as a brand.
As a quick recap for those who missed the announcement, the Redmi Note 2 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 processor. It will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 3,060mAh battery with MIUI 7 running the show.
