In China there is OnePlus. The company is relatively new but they have been making waves, thanks to its initial efforts of the OnePlus One that came with Cyanogen OS preinstalled. While the partnership has since ended, the company still has a lot of popularity as evidenced with the number of people signing up for the OnePlus 2.
That being said, over in the UK a new company by the name of WileyFox looks like they want to be Europe’s version of OnePlus as the company as recently announced their first two phones. This comes in the form of the WileyFox Swift and the WileyFox Storm. Both handsets are powered by Cyanogen OS so let’s hope that their partnership will last longer than it did with OnePlus.
So what kind of specs can we expect from these devices? Starting with the Swift, it will feature a 5-inch display and will come with a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. It will come with a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and will be priced at £129 (~$203).
As for the Storm, it will be the more powerful of the two. It will feature a 5-inch Full HD display and will pack a Snapdragon 615 processor under the hood which will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will also come with a 20MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing camera and will be priced higher at £199 (~$314).
Both handsets are expected to go up for pre-order later this week and the Swift will go on sale in September while the Storm will be released in October.
