According to Viber’s head of product, Ofir Eyal, apparently these are features and changes that users have been asking for, so hopefully the company has managed to deliver. Starting with the new call UI, basically the new UI allows users to place Viber calls from a multitude of places within the app, thus making it easier to connect with friends and family.
Viber has also improved upon the quality of their calls. According to them, calls will now only consume 84KB/minute on a 2G connection, so even if you can’t get full 3G or LTE coverage, you should have no problems enjoying a smooth and good quality call, while at the same time keeping data consumption low.
Last but not least are the introduction of animated stickers. If you use Viber to message as well as make calls, this should be a fun addition. The update can be found on the iTunes App Store and Google Play, so hit up your respective app stores for the update.
