Are you in the market for a smartphone with respectable specifications that doesn’t break the bank? Verizon just might have the perfect thing for you. The carrier today launched HTC Desire 626, it’s a smartphone meant for the budget minded customer that features design language that’s similar to the flagship One series and even has a gold color option to match the HTC One M9.

Underneath the HTC Desire 626’s 5 inch 720×960 pixel resolution display is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage with microSD card support.

Also present on this device is an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2,000mAh battery. It features Sense 7 user interface and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Even though it might look like a toned down version of an HTC One flagship it’s in a league of its own, HTC didn’t use metal for this device’s body to keep the costs down, rather it’s fashioned out of plastic.

It’s certainly no Android powerhouse but the specifications are good enough for the average user that doesn’t require much out of their device, the camera is adequate and so is the processing power.

Verizon is selling this for $192 outright, those who would rather go with the equipment installment plan will find themselves paying $8 per month for 24 months.
