For those who wouldn’t mind getting their hands on a VAIO computer, maybe you like what you’ve seen or you’re a fan of the brand, you will be happy to learn that a report from The Wall Street Journal has revealed that the company will be making a return to the US market this October.
In fact the company is expected to start selling its VAIO computers through Microsoft’s retail stores. This was confirmed by the company’s CEO Yoshimi Ota who also mentioned that they are planning to make an entrance into the Brazilian market as well. The devices on sale will be what we’ve seen before, but also more expensive. The Wall Street Journal reports that the computers will start at a whopping $2,199 which is insanely expensive.
As it stands VAIO’s market share is said to have fallen to less than 1%, so safe to say that these international expansions will be key to helping the company revitalize the brand and make it competitive again. In the meantime would any of you guys consider a VAIO computer as your next purchase?
