It appears that T-Mobile and BlackBerry really have repaired their relationship. Last year the carrier launched a promotion inviting BB owners on its network to switch to the iPhone, this obviously didn’t sit too well with the company and it decided to end business dealings with Magenta. The relationship was mended when BB’s recent device was launched on T-Mobile and now the carrier is running a new promotion that wants BB owners to come back.
Those who want to switch over to T-Mobile during this promotion require an unlocked BlackBerry Passport, Classic, Leap, Q5 or Z30. You’re out of luck if you own any other BB device.
Once this requirement has been met you need to opt for a qualifying plan and order the 3-in-1 SIM pack. When the SIM arrives just insert it into the BlackBerry and you’ll be up and running on Magenta’s network.
The improvement in relations between T-Mobile and BlackBerry has been gradual but they’re finally past that point of breaking things off for good, surely both companies see the benefit in working with each other.
BlackBerry is expected to launch a new handset soon and it’s quite likely that we might see the Android-powered Venice slider coming to T-Mobile as well.
