If you’re a fan of collecting special editions of games, then you might be interested to learn that Capcom has recently confirmed that there will be a Collector’s Edition of Street Fighter V. As expected as is the case with most special or collector’s editions, it will not come cheap as it has been priced at $99.99.
So what can you expect for your money? For starters there will be a 10-inch fully painted Rye statue, if you like collecting those sorts of things. There will also be a 48-page hardcover artbook, code cards that will give you access to bonus content such as digital comics, soundtracks, and a subscription to the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel.
If you were to pre-order the game, you would also be able to get your hands on different costumes, although this will be limited to the retailers you pre-order it from. For example pre-ordering from GameStop will nab you the grizzled Ryu costume, while ordering it from Best Buy gets you a covert ops Cammy. A sinister M. Bison costume will be for those ordering via Amazon, and a black dress for Chun-Li is available if you pre-order it digitally.
The game has been pegged for a released in 2016 where it will be exclusive to the PC and the PlayStation 4. For Xbox One gamers, you’re out of luck as Capcom had stated that this is a permanent exclusive and that the game will not be making its way onto the Xbox One ever.
