Street Fighter fans are anxiously watching any and all developments related to the new title and while the beta test didn’t exactly go as planned at first Capcom is now going to be running “stress tests” on Street Fighter 5 to ensure that it holds up to everything that gamers put it through when it finally launches to the public. Capcom will start the first of a series of region specific stress tests this week.
The first regional Street Fighter 5 stress test is going to take place in Europe today from 16:00-00:00 BST, it will continue on to Friday, August 21.
Capcom says that once it’s confident with the results from this test it will reveal the date for similar tests that will take place in North America and Asia.
Once all of the regional stress tests have been successfully completed the dates and times of the official global beta test will be announced, Capcom says that these tests are “just an added bonus” since the global beta test will take place for the previously promised five days of time.
While it’s anticipated that it will be a smooth experience during these tests some users might experience issues, that’s why Capcom says this exercise is important, because all data received during the tests will ensure that the game performs “at an optimal level.”
