A couple of days ago, Blizzard announced that they would be adding three new characters to Heroes of the Storm. However if you thought that Blizzard was done, at least for the time-being, you would be mistaken as the company has officially announced the addition of a new hero to the game in the form of the Medic character from the StarCraft franchise.
Given the character’s title, it hardly came as a surprise when Blizzard stated that she would be a support character, meaning that if you’re hoping to land yourself some kills and lead the game in terms of destruction, you should probably be looking elsewhere. The Medic will have the ability to heal her allies, shield them from damage, and lob a grenade or two just for the sake of offense.
Her ultimate ability will come in the form of summoning a medivac. The medivac will be able to transport both the Medic and another player to pretty much any point in the map. This will allow teams to craft new and interesting strategies, such as ambush other players, offer up a quick escape, or drop right into the middle of the action.
Now the medic won’t be the only new character in the works. As you can see in the video above, Blizzard is working on new skins and mounts for existing characters in the game. They look pretty awesome although given Blizzard’s pricing, they will get pretty expensive pretty quickly.
