Sony Italy has recently confirmed via Twitter that the company will be present at IFA 2015 which is held in Berlin next month. According to the tweet, Sony will be hosting a press conference on the 2nd of September itself which is when many expect the Sony Xperia Z5 to be officially announced.
In a way this doesn’t come as a surprise given that last we heard, the Xperia Z5 was rumored for a launch in September, and with IFA taking place in September it hardly seems like a coincidence. Based on the image Sony Italy posted, it seems that we can expect a bunch of other announcements as well that aren’t related to mobile, like cameras, TVs, wearables, and more.
So far what we know about the Xperia Z5 is that it will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. It will also be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and it will also come with a fingerprint scanner for security purposes. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but check back with us then for the details.
