Sling TV is an online TV streaming service which was launched earlier this year, over the past few months it has added support for more platforms and devices, that momentum continues today. Sling TV now supports Amazon Fire HD and HDX tablets, this means that the service is now available across three different Fire devices from Amazon.
The online TV streaming service has already been available on the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick for quite some time now, it’s nice that the Fire HD and HDX tablets are finally getting some love as well.
Sling TV app is now available for these tablets and can be immediately downloaded from the Amazon Appstore on the Fire HD and HDX tablets. The app provides instant access to live programming as well as on demand content.
The basic $20 per month package includes channels such as ESPN, AMC, HGTV, TNT, A&E, there are separate packs which can be purchased to add more channels, HBO is available as well for an additional $15 per month.
All Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, Fire HDX 7, Fire HD 7 or Fire HD 6 tablet owners who download the app and sign up for the service receive a 14-day free trial of Sling TV before they are required to pay the monthly charge.
