If you own a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One you might be well aware of the fact 500GB of onboard storage isn’t going to get you very far particularly if you are prone to downloading digital copies of your favorite games. This is one of the reasons why Sony and Microsoft have both released 1TB versions of their consoles but still many would like more storage. Seagate today launched a new external drive that works with both Xbox One and Xbox 360, it’s called Seagate Game Drive and it looks like a mini Xbox console.
Good on Seagate for splashing a bit of color on this external hard drive, it just makes the Game Drive look much better in comparison to the boring external hard drives that we are all too familiar with.
The Game Drive is a 2TB hard drive that works with both Xbox One and Xbox 360, it’s an easy plug-and-play connection with USB 3.0. Save for its green top-case and black body with embossed Xbox and Seagate logos it’s just like a regular external hard drive.
Seagate announced the Game Drive at Gamescom today, it will sell the hard drive worldwide through electronic retailers, Amazon and GameStop for $109.99. It’s not that 2TB external drives can’t be purchased for less than this, some will certainly want to purchase it just for its looks.
