If you were to build a house, you would first sit down and count the cost. Otherwise, it might end up as egg on your face when you do not have enough materials to make sure that the house is properly constructed. I suppose this is somewhat a minor hiccup, but still a blip for Samsung, as they announced that they have run out of test drive handsets (Galaxy Note 5 or S6 Edge+) when it comes to the recently announced trial program for iPhone users.
Basically, all of the devices that have been specially earmarked for the program are no longer available, although this can be seen as an encouraging sign. After all, the entire campaign will target existing iPhone users, so if you are not an iPhone user, you cannot take part in this promotion. The relative success of the latest iPhone have definitely cut into Samsung’s overall sales, which has resulted in this rather aggressive move by the South Korean conglomerate.
For those who are still in a daze, this test drive effort was launched at 12:01 a.m. ET, where iPhone users will fork out a $1 processing fee in order to give the Galaxy S6 Edge, Edge+ and Note 5 on any major carrier a go for 30 day. These handsets will be accompanied by free voice, text and a data plan, and they were all snapped up in a few hours. Hopefully we will be able to see more handsets made available for the promotion.
