Last week Samsung sent out invites to an event that they will be hosting on the 13th of August. Given that usually only flagship devices tend to get their own dedicated event, it was safe to assume that we would be treated to none other than the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and possibly the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Just in case you’re still a bit skeptical about what Samsung will announce, the company has posted a reminder on its website telling us to “note the date” for the 13th of August. If anything we can safely assume that was in reference to the Galaxy Note 5. The reminder also included the accompanying image above.
While it might look like a bunch of lines, once again we can only assume that this alludes to the shape/form factor of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. There is no mention of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ but hopefully we will learn more as the date approaches. In terms of specs, what we know at the moment are only based on rumors.
Both smartphones are said to feature 5.7-inch displays, with the main difference being that the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will have its edges curved. We also heard the possibility that the Galaxy Note 5 might not have microSD card support which can be a deal-breaker from power users. In any case we have a little over a week to go before the unveiling so check back with us then for the details.
