This is according to a report from YouMobile who claims that according to their insider, it has been revealed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will only be pushed out to Samsung devices in early 2016, and even then it seems that not all Samsung devices will be eligible for the update, which based on history we suppose doesn’t really come as a surprise.
For starters we suppose it’s obvious that Samsung’s flagships such as the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5, and S6 Edge+ will all receive the update. However thankfully 2013 handsets are also eligible, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the Note 4 Duos, and the Note Edge. Other handsets that will receive it will be the Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy Tab A.
Now we can’t confirm how accurate this report is, but like we said it wouldn’t really be a surprise to think that Samsung will definitely bump their flagships to the latest build of Android. Unfortunately no specific dates save for “early 2016”, but hopefully we officially hear from Samsung in the near future.
