Capcom already confirmed a while back that it’s working on the Resident Evil Zero HD remake which will be released at some point next year but Capcom wants to on another Resident Evil project. It recently started asking fans whether or not it should do a Resident Evil 2 remake and looks like their response has managed to convince Capcom because it has formally announced that a Resident Evil 2 remake is now in the pipeline.
Fans have long been of the view that the 1998 horror title Resident Evil 2 is one of the best games in this entire series, it goes without saying that a lot of fans to see it return in the form of a remake.
The announcement was made by producer Yoshiaki “H” Hirabyashi through a video posted on YouTube, he adds that “We at R&D Division 1 will do our best to take on your feedback and deliver the gameplay experience you’ve been waiting for.”
Capcom isn’t revealing much about this upcoming title for the franchise right now, we don’t know what platforms the remake is going to be available on and precisely when it will come to market. However we now know for sure that Resident Evil 2 remake is really ogoing to happen.
