However it should be noted that this price hike only affects gamers living in the UK and Europe, so if you’re living in other parts of the world like the US or Asia, it seems that you’re good for now. It will also only affect monthly and quarter subscription fees, so if you’re subscribed to the annual package, your fees remain unchanged.
So how much can gamers expect to pay with the new prices? Unfortunately Sony has not confirmed it yet, but did confirm that a price hike is on its way, claiming that it is in line with the market. According to them, “From 1st September we will be increasing the price of monthly and three month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in line with market conditions.”
However just for a bit of context, the one-month subscription costs £5.49; a three-month subscription costs £11.99; and an annual subscription costs £39.99, which like we said earlier will remain unchanged.
