It looks like those who are interested in picking up the Oppo R5s (which is as thin as the Oppo R5 – which was once the world’s thinnest smartphone), you might be pleased to hear that you will be able to place an order for the smartphone in the US – straight from the Chinese manufacturer’s online store. In order to identify with this mid-range handset’s launch, Oppo has decided to sweeten the deal with a $220 price point – although this sticker price will remain only until Thursday, August 27.
The Oppo R5s measures all of just 4.85mm thin, which would make it one of the sleekest smartphones available in the market to date. Among the hardware specifications found underneath the hood, it would include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 5.2” 1080p AMOLED display that should be a feast for your eyes.
The $220 asking price makes the Oppo R5s a no-brainer – no idea on how much it will cost once the promotional period ends. Do take note that the Oppo R5s will not have any support for the 4G LTE bands that are available in the US, and it runs on Color OS 2.0 which will be on top of the Android mobile operating system.
