Next-Gen iPhone Production Rumored To Have Been Delayed 1-2 Weeks

With the rumors suggesting that the next-gen iPhone could be announced on the 9th of September, it would be safe to assume that Apple’s suppliers are already kicking things into high gear and starting to ramp up production of components for the next-gen devices. However according to a report, it seems that production has actually been delayed.

The report comes from noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who claims that production of Apple’s new iPhones have been briefly delayed by 1-2 weeks. However production is expected to pick start later this month where it should be ready in time for its rumored September announcement and possible release.

It is unclear as to why there was a delay in production but whatever the case is, we’re hoping that it won’t have too big an impact on the amount of units that will be available at launch. Given that Apple’s smartphones are notoriously difficult to purchase during its first couple of months of availability, any delay will just snowball the effect.

So far not much is known about the next-gen iPhones. It is expected that we might see an upgrade in its processor and there are also rumors of it including Force Touch, but other than that its design and its display sizes and resolution should remain the same as its predecessors.
