Moto 360 is without a doubt one of the most beautiful Android Wear powered smartwatches released to date and all eyes are on Motorola now to see exactly what it has achieved with this device’s successor. There have been a few leaks here and there related to this wearable device but so far nothing concrete has turned up, however there is some evidence though that the new Moto 360 might come in two sizes.
Two Motorola products with model numbers 360S and 360L have passed through ANATEL which is basically Brazil’s version of the FCC, it regulates and supervises telecommunications activity in Brazil.
Just like companies have to put their products under FCC’s magnifying glass before they can be sold in the United States same has to be done with ANATEL in Brazil before a product containing a radio can be sold in that country.
Once the products are certified by this regulatory body the product manuals and other documentation are uploaded on ANATEL’s website and that’s precisely what has happened with the 360S and 360L.
The documents do mention that both wearable devices have Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi, 270mAh and 375mAh batteries in the 360S and 360L respectively. No other information about the specifications can be gleaned from the documents.
It merits mentioning here that such documentation was also found on ANATEL’s website last year prior to the release of the original Moto 360 smartwatch so there’s reason to believe here that these might be the next-gen smartwatches in two different sizes.
We’ll only know for sure when Motorola makes an official announcement as soon as it’s done with teasing the new smartwatch online.
