If the rumors are true, this year could very well be the year that we are treated to two Nexus devices. We have heard that both LG and Huawei could be making Nexus handsets this year, but according to the previously leaked specs, both handsets will feature very different hardware. Now thanks to a post by @OnLeaks, possible new specs have been revealed.
Starting with the Huawei Nexus, according to @OnLeaks, he has “confirmed” that the handset will sport a 5.7-inch display. He claims that the device will be made from metal, a nice change of pace for Nexus handsets, and will feature a fingerprint sensor on the back. It is also expected to use a USB-C port, and will measure 159.4x 78.3x 6.6/8.5mm.
As for the LG Nexus, @OnLeaks has tweeted that the device will indeed sport a 5.2-inch display. Just like the Huawei Nexus, the LG made Nexus is also rumored to sport a metal body, a fingerprint sensor on the back, and will also make use of the USB-C connector. As for its size given its 5.2-inch display, it will be smaller than the Huawei with alleged measurements of 146.9 x 72.9x 8/9.8mm.
Unfortunately he has not confirmed if the display’s will rely on QHD resolutions or what kind of processors they might use, although last we heard the LG Nexus is said to rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 620, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Huawei were to end up using their own chipset for their Nexus as well. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully Google will announce something soon.
