Mysterious HTC Handset For Verizon Stops By The FCC

If you’re in the market for a new HTC handset, you might be interested to learn that a potentially new HTC smartphone has recently made its way to the FCC. The FCC sighting basically confirms that HTC wants the device approved for possible sale in the US. We say possible because sometimes not all FCC sightings actually result in sales in the US.

That being said, according to the FCC filing, it has been revealed that the handset will be compatible with CDMA2000 networks which are basically the same networks that Verizon uses. There are also support for LTE bands 5, 7, 2, 4, and 13, with the last three apparently used by Verizon as well, so safe to say that this handset will most likely end up on the carrier’s network (if it is released).

Unfortunately the model number 0PM9310 and its SKU HTCD200LVWPP don’t really tell us what kind of phone it is, so for all we know it could either be a monstrous new flagship smartphone from the company, or we could be looking at some mid-range handset that is a variant of existing models in the market.

The FCC filing has also hinted that the back cover of the handset is non-removal, which seems to suggest some kind of unibody construction, or so we hope.
