It has been rumored quite a few times now that Google is going to launch two new Nexus smartphones this year, one developed with LG and the other with Huawei. More information has been leaked today about the new Nexus 5 that Google is supposedly developing with LG, including information about the possible price range as well as the specifications of this device.
AndroidPolice hears from a “reliable source” that the new Nexus 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with Adreno 418 graphics processor and 3GB RAM. It will have a 5.2 inch full HD display, not Quad HD like many other flagships, though a major reason for this might be to keep costs down. LG’s new Nexus 5 is also said to feature a USB Type-C port.
Also said to be present on the device is a 2,700mAh battery which is a bit larger than the original Nexus 6’s 2,300mAh battery. If it seems small consider the fact that it’s larger the Galaxy S6’s 2,550mAh battery.
12.3 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front cameras also receive a mention. alongside 16GB and 32GB storage options. The handset is said to arrive by the end of next month in black, white and blue colors. A precise price tag hasn’t been revealed but the source claims this smartphone will be priced at a “sub-flagship level.”
