Just last week we were treated to photos of Microsoft’s alleged next-gen Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, the Lumia 950/950 XL. From what we can tell, the phone looks pretty good but the question is when can we expect it? Thanks to a recent tweet by @evleaks, it seems that come September we might learn more about the phone/phones.
According to his post, Microsoft is set to announce the Talkman and Cityman phones in September. These are codenames for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Now we have to admit that a September launch does seem a little odd. Why is this? Last we heard from Microsoft, Windows 10 Mobile has been pegged for a possible November release.
However there have also been rumors to suggest that the launch could be in September which would lineup nicely with the launch of the new devices. IFA 2015 will also be held in September which seems like a pretty decent platform for Microsoft to make an announcement, if there are any announcements to be had, although there are rumors that Microsoft might prefer their own event.
In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but safe to say many are curious as to what a flagship Windows 10 Mobile handset would look like, so do check back with us in the coming weeks to see if there are any additional details to be had.
