As we had reported yesterday, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s multiplayer beta was officially launched for gamers who pre-ordered the game on the PC or the Xbox One following the beta for the PS4 over the weekend. Unfortunately it seems that for some reason, some of the beta codes that gamers were given were dead, meaning that they aren’t able to access the beta.
Microsoft has since confirmed on Twitter that this is an issue that is known to them and that they are working on it. According to the Redmond company, “We’re aware of the issues you might be seeing with your Black Ops 3 beta codes. We’re looking into it now.” Unsurprisingly the gamers affected by this aren’t too happy.
After all one of the promises for pre-ordering the game was access to the beta, but now that they can’t, many are feeling like they have been ripped off. The issues appear to have begun several hours ago but until now, Microsoft has yet to find a solution. One user has posted a workaround which you can try if you’re so inclined.
No word on when it will be fixed for gamers who are having issues, but hopefully Microsoft and Treyarch do right by gamers and at least extend the beta to make up for lost time. In the meantime any of our readers affected by this?
