Movie adaptations of video games rarely do that well in the market, which means those that actually rake in the moolah happen to be more of the exception than the rule. What happens when you have a smoking hot actor or actress leading the charge? That is no guarantee either, but one thing is for sure – Michael Fassbender is the perfect eye candy fodder in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie.
Fassbender will play the role of the protagonist in the movie, where Callum Lynch is the latest character in the Assassin’s Creed universe. This particular movie will see the timeline set in 15th century Spain, which also happens to be a new location for the franchise. The story arc will not have anything to do with the video game series, which is rather rare where video game movies are concerned.
While PC gamers look forward to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate this coming 19th of November, those who prefer watching than playing can look forward to the Assassin’s Creed movie rolling out more than a year later – December 21st, 2016, to be exact. The image was pulled from Yahoo UK’s Twitter feed. It would be cool if there were to be a video game in the franchise that is based on the movie – if the latter doesn’t bomb, that is.
