Speaking to GameSpot, Konami explained how the upcoming feature would work. Basically the gist is that you need MB Coins in order to build your base. These coins are bought using real money, but at the same time due to the feature not being live in the early review, what was later revealed by Konami is that you can actually earn these coins by completing missions in the campaign.
Alternatively gamers can choose to buy these coins if they feel that farming for them in the game is taking too long. Konami says, “the microtransaction layer to that specific feature in the game primarily acts as an accelerator,” but also notes that “You can make money by completing missions on single campaign mode. There are other ways to make money as well.”
While this is no doubt a sigh of relief to some gamers, based on the comments there are some who still aren’t happy about it, especially since you have bought and paid for the game in full, you shouldn’t need to pay extra to enjoy its features since it’s not really a DLC or an expansion, but what say you?
