Konami announced today that it is going to release Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain for PC alongside the console iterations on September 1st, the title is now available for pre-order via Steam and it will include a copy of its prologue Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeros for free. Previously the PC iteration was supposed to be released on September 15th but Konami has listened to calls from PC users and decided to move up the release.

On September 1st Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is going to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. All Steam customers get a collector’s video which contains behind the scenes footage and a unique documentary aside from DLC in the form of a “Venom Snake” emblem and Mother Base Staff.

This is no doubt good news particularly for PC games but there’s a spot of bad news as well. Metal Gear Online has been delayed to October 6th for consoles and all the way to January 2016 for PC. Konami says the reason for this delay is the “result of the updated timing” of the PC iteration of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

PC gamers can go here to pre-order this title from Steam, gamers on PlayStation and Xbox can get their pre-orders in through their respective online stores.
