We all know that mobile devices do age with time, and that means hardware and software that become obsolete by the day. However, certain devices do seem to be “fresher” than the others after some time in the market, and the Nokia Lumia 1020 happens to be one of them, as it still sports a rather impressive 41MP camera that will be ideal for those point-and-shoot scenarios. Not only that, the Lumia 1020 also boasted of the Lumia Camera app (which was formerly known as Nokia Camera), and we are now pleased to note that you no longer need to own this device in order to take advantage of the app, since it is now available to all Windows Phones devices as long as you get it via the Windows Store.
Oh yeah, did we mention that this particular download will be free? The app itself will certainly make the day for any avid smartphone shutterbugs, where they get to play around with various settings before shooting. For instance, one will be able to make adjustments to the ISO sensitivity, focus, white balance, shutter speed and brightness from within the app itself thanks to a slick looking user interface, and all of it can be done with a swipe of a finger. Do take note that there are stability issues to look into for this app where selected devices are concerned.
