When the infinity pool concepts first launched, they were beautiful. In fact they are still pretty beautiful as it gives the illusion that there is no edge. However over in London, developers Ballymore Group are working on new luxury flats called Embassy Gardens, and one of the building’s key features would be its suspended swimming pool, or rather its sky pool.
As you can see in the images, this is basically a swimming pool that is suspended between two buildings while retaining its glass bottom. What this does is that it allows you to literally swim between buildings, although if you have a fear of heights then this might not be the best idea, but then again you will probably never get a view like this.
According to Sean Mulryan, chairman and CEO of the Ballymore Group, “My vision for the sky pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering. I wanted to do something that had never been done before. The experience of the pool will be truly unique, it will feel like floating through the air in central London.”
Sounds and looks pretty awesome, doesn’t it? However it will not come cheap. These luxury flats will be priced starting at £602,000 ($942,572), and we can only imagine that they will get even more expensive the higher you go. So, would any of you guys dare to swim in the sky pool?
