Headphones designed for music and headphones designed for gaming are a bit different. Gaming headsets tend to focus more on directional sound so that gamers can tell where the enemy is. They also come with built-in microphones to allow gamers to voice chat with each other, and easy controls for accessing these features.
That being said if you’re in the market for a new gaming headset, you might be interested to learn that Logitech has recently announced two new headphones in the form of the G633 and the G933 Artemis Spectrum gaming headsets, with the latter being able to connect either using a wire or wirelessly over a 2.4GHz wireless connection.
As far as cabled connections are concerned, both headsets will allow either micro USB or the 3.5mm audio jack connection, depending on your needs/preferences. The headphones will also come with a built-in microphone that is both flexible and extendable. Logitech will also introduce a new audio driver they’re calling Pro-G.
This apparently minimizes distortion to help deliver as clean a sound as possible. Logitech has also partnered with DTS which will see the inclusion of X surround sound. So when can you get your hands on these headsets? The Logitech G633 is expected to be released in September where it will be priced at $149.99, while the Logitech G933 will go for $199.99 and will arrive in October.
