According to an earlier rumor of the LG Nexus (2015)’s specs, it was suggested that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor with 4GB of RAM. This does not make it a particularly powerful phone, but given that the rumors are saying there will be two Nexus handsets this year, maybe Google is trying to create mid and high-range options.
That being said, a new report has surfaced which allegedly shows off the benchmarks of the upcoming LG Nexus device, and it paints a very different story. According to the benchmarks, it claims that the LG Nexus will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and will come with 3GB of RAM.
It also suggests that its 5.2-inch display will not sport a Full HD resolution, but will instead feature a QHD display. It also claims that a 13MP IMX278 camera sensor from Sony will be utilized for its rear-facing camera, and will also feature the same laser focusing system found in the LG G4.
Like we said this paints an entirely different picture from what we have heard before. Based on this there are several possibilities, such as how one rumor could be fake and the other is true, or both are fake, or both are true but they are for different devices. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will hear an official announcement from Google soon.
