It looks like LG’s G Watch, G Watch R and Watch Urbane are going to get a brand new firmware update via the Over The Air (OTA) route in the coming days, and as we have already mentioned earlier, the LG G Watch R will end up as Wi-Fi capable with this update, empowering users of the wearable device to obtain notifications and other information on their wrists sans the need for a Bluetooth connection.
Since LG happens to be a company that rolled out not one, but a trio of separate Android Wear devices, hence it is no surprise to hear that LG has more or less increased their commitment where the Android wearable ecosystem cause is concerned.
The trio of LG devices mentioned will now be able to support interactive watch faces that one can download from Google Play, which is a good thing for users, of course. Interactive watch faces will enable users to tap on specific areas of the watch display so that they can check out additional related information. In this latest update, LG’s Android Wear devices can also support useful apps which will be able to perform specific functions, including displaying a four-day weather forecast, or perhaps to perform translations in numerous foreign languages right there and then on the watch itself.
