Qualcomm has already confirmed the existence of their next-gen flagship SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. They also stated that the first devices to use the processor are only expected in early 2016, but it looks like Chinese company LeTV just can’t hold back their excitement and have officially begun to tease their upcoming smartphone.
This was spotted on the company’s Hong Kong Facebook page (via PhoneArena) where as you can see, the company is teasing a smartphone that appears to sport really thin bezels, along with the number “820” written on it which we can only take to mean the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
Now it might seem a little early for the company to begin its promotional efforts, but we suppose they want to be known as the first company to start marketing it, kind of like how other Chinese companies such as Vivo beat more mainstream brands like Samsung and LG to the market with 2K displays.
In any case it’s really anyone’s guess as to what else LeTV’s smartphone will have to offer, but in the meantime we have also heard the rumors that Samsung’s 2016 Galaxy S7 will also feature the Snapdragon 820, which will be an interesting change and move from the Exynos processors used by their flagship devices this year.
