It was expected that the Lenovo Vibe S1 smartphone would be unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2015 in March but that didn’t happen, Lenovo hasn’t even said if this smartphone is going to arrive soon but some pictures of the handset have already been leaked from China which suggest that it does exist. If a new report is to be believed Lenovo Vibe S1 might be the world’s first smartphone to feature a dual selfie camera.
Smartphone manufacturers are cashing in on the selfie trend with powerful front-facing cameras and wide-angle lens that allow users to fit more people in their selfies and take much better photos with the front camera.
There’s word now from @upleaks who claims that the Lenovo Vibe S1 has dual front-facing cameras, if that’s true that would make this device the world’s first smartphone to feature dual selfie cameras.
It would this be a major selling point for this smartphone, a dual camera setup on the front could allow for much better selfies with perhaps even the coveted bokeh effect.
Lenovo Vibe S1 is expected to feature a 13 megapixel rear camera, an octacore Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB RAM, 5 inch full HD display, 16GB expandable memory and Android Lollipop. So far there’s no word from Lenovo on the release date of this device.
