Back in June, Square Enix announced Lara Croft GO. The game was also pegged for a 27th of August release and if you were looking forward to the game, you will be pleased to learn that the game has since been released. It is currently available on iOS and Android so head on over to the iTunes App Store or Google Play for the download where it is priced at $5.
So what is Lara Croft GO? For those who are wondering why the game and name sounds so familiar, it is because a while back Square Enix released Hitman GO. Basically these “GO” games offer a different take on the franchises, so instead of it being an action type of game, these GO games are more puzzle-like.
It will see players play the game in a different way and it will utilize completely different graphics, which we have to admit that it actually looks pretty good. The game is priced rather high compared to other mobile games, but given the content and quality of Square Enix’s offerings, we suppose it doesn’t really come as a surprise.
The game will also not feature any in-app purchases so what you pay for is what you get. As noted by Square Enix, the game will play nicely with most devices, save for the iPhone 4 or older.
