So much so that they have launched a website in which you can enter your phone’s serial number, and if it has been discovered that your phone is one of the defective units, you can arrange for a free repair. However it should be noted that you will not be given a brand new phone or a refurbished model as the repairs are limited to your device’s iSight camera.
According to the Cupertino company, “Apple has determined that, in a small percentage of iPhone 6 Plus devices, the iSight camera has a component that may fail causing your photos to look blurry. The affected units fall into a limited serial number range and were sold primarily between September 2014 and January 2015.”
So if you’d like to find out if your unit is one of the affected ones, then head on over to Apple’s website and enter your device’s serial number (which can be found via Settings > General > About) to check.
