Huawei had initially launched their smartwatch, the Huawei Watch, earlier this year at MWC 2015, but until today the device has yet to be released. That being said, it seems that we could be inching closer towards an actual release, at least that’s what’s being speculated thanks to a recent tweet by Huawei.
As you can see in the teaser image above, basically Huawei seems to have some kind of watch-related announcement that they will be making at IFA 2015 which is expected to kick off later this week. We’re not sure what will be announced, but we can only assume it will be related to smartwatches and the company’s Huawei Watch.
That is unless Huawei has a new smartwatch in the works, which would be a surprise as we have not heard anything about it so far. That being said for those who missed Huawei’s announcement earlier this year, the Huawei Watch will be the company’s first smartwatch and it will be an elegant affair.
It will feature a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, a frame made from stainless steel, a screen made from sapphire crystal, and there will be a built-in heart rate monitor. It will not come cheap either as a recent listing revealed that it will be priced starting at $349, and will go up to $799 for the gold plated model.
