Halo 5: Guardians beta was recently updated and it ended up revealing more than what Microsoft might have intended, the Halo 5: Guardians theme music has been leaked through this beta update. A substantial chunk of the title’s original soundtrack has been leaked and it has already been widely circulated online so Microsoft’s efforts to stem its spreads will go in vain.
Even though Halo 5: Guardians beta was released in late December and ended by January it appears that it’s still accessible to some who already have it installed, one of those users spotted the beta update and captured the original soundtrack which inevitably made its way to YouTube.
Microsoft has weighed in on the matter, a spokesperson for the company says that this Halo 5: Guardians content is part of its “ongoing private, external testing for multiplayer,” adding that it will continue to rigorously test Halo 5: Guardians to ensure the best possible experience for fans at launch.
The original version that was uploaded to YouTube has since been set to private but YouTube channel Halo Memes has uploaded another version which remains accessible for now.
It remains to be seen if Microsoft goes after this version to get it removed from YouTube, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
