Samsung Galaxy S7 Could Use Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 [Rumor]

samsung logoWhen Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 earlier this year, it was revealed that Samsung would be using their own Exynos chipsets instead of Qualcomm’s, which is what they’ve done in the past. While it was never confirmed, the rumors of the Snapdragon 810 overheating was apparently the reason why.

That being said, it looks like Samsung could have had a change of faith again. According to more recent rumors, it has been suggested that in 2016 for the Samsung Galaxy S7, the South Korean tech giant is expected to return to using Qualcomm’s processors, and that this time around it could be the Snapdragon 820.

While we have no idea how the Snapdragon 820 performs in terms of heat management, we can only assume that whatever issues there were in the Snapdragon 810 has since been rectified. Then again this might seem a little early to be talking about the Galaxy S7, but at the same time with the Snapdragon 820 possibly being Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, it would be possible.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, and like we said it might be too early to start talking about the Galaxy S7, but would you guys like to see the return of Qualcomm in Samsung’s 2016 flagship?
