According to an earlier rumor, it was suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 would sport a 3,000mAh battery. In some way this is a bit disappointing since we expected that a larger phone would pack a larger battery to help offset the power needed to drive a bigger display.
If you were hoping that the rumors would be wrong, sorry to disappoint as @evleaks himself has “confirmed” that the Galaxy Note 5 will indeed feature a 3,000mAh battery. In fact according to his tweet, the 3,000mAh battery will find its way inside the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ as well, so it looks like both devices will sport similar battery sizes.
In terms of specs, both handsets are expected to be more or less the same. This means we can look forward to a 5.7-inch QHD display, the main difference being that the Galaxy Note 5 will feature a regular display with support for a stylus, while the Galaxy S6 Edge+ will come with curved displays on either side.
In any case all will be revealed on the 13th of August which is only a day away, so remember to check back with us then for all the official Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ details!
